With what can the writing center help me?

The purpose of the writing center is to help students become academic writers. Students may come in at any point of the writing process for guidance. Students may come in for issues such as choosing an appropriate topic for a research paper or adjusting the scope of a thesis, as well as, more complicated tasks such as structuring logical argument or synthesizing information for research integration.

The Writing Center also maintains copies of the texts used in composition and other courses that may be used on-site.

With what can't the writing center help me?

1. The Writing Center is not for editing your paper. You cannot submit your paper and expect to obtain a revised copy.

2. The coaches are not your professors, so we cannot grade your work.

3. The Writing Center is not a filing service. Please bring a copy of your paper or have it saved on OneDrive to access at one of the computer work stations.
